We are proud to bring you the industry knowledge, premium products, responsive service, and agronomic information that can help you make the most of every season.
Founded in 2008, Cropping Central LLC is an authorized Pioneer representative based in Edgar, Wisconsin – in Marathon County.
Owner Chad Erickson started the business after eight years in agronomy sales, where he sold Pioneer Seed and crop insurance. He and his knowledgeable team are focused on providing the right services and products at the right time to help customers succeed.
An ag veteran, Chad was raised northeast of Wausau on an 80-cow dairy operation. Today he farms 240 acres of corn and soybeans, as well as five acres of pumpkins his family sells on the roadside.
Chad maintains his status as a Certified Crop Advisor and has a deep involvement with Farm Bureau, serving as Marathon County Young Farm Chair for eight years, District 8 Young Farmer Chair on the State Board, and Marathon County Vice President and Director from 2008 to 2017. Chad received the Distinguished Service to Agriculture award presented by Marathon County Farm Bureau.
With Pioneer, Chad achieved 20 years of service in 2020. He received the Pioneer Long Look award in 2011, 2013, and 2015; the Pioneer Pace Setters Club Award in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2020; and the Sales Rep of the Year Award in 2007.
When he’s not busy assisting his Cropping Central customers or working on his farm, Chad and his wife Kelly spend time watching their children’s sporting events, hunting and enjoying life.
The Cropping Central team offers a broad range of experience and expertise to help meet our customers’ unique needs.
