Meet Our Staff

Vince Tichy

Precision Ag Expert & Granular Agronomy Agent

I am the Granular Agronomy Certified Services Agent (CSA) in North-Central Wisconsin. Having grown up in Rozellville, I graduated from Stratford High School then spent four years in the military as a diesel mechanic. After the military, I continued on in the diesel repair business with a local implement dealership. In 2013, my position changed to the precision farming division of the dealership.

In January 2015 I became employed with Granular Agronomy (formerly Encirca℠ services). I work with all seed the agents in the area, providing field documentation and soil sampling that helps growers manage risk and maximize return. I am married to Jeannie and we have four children: Tate, Saige, Cole and Meg. I spend any spare time watching our children play in sports, riding snowmobile, golfing, traveling, and just spending time with my family.

Jordan Weiler

Agronomist, Agronomy Sales & Insurance Agent

I grew up south of Marshfield working on a local dairy farm and attended UW-River Falls. After earning my BS in Crop Science, I worked for a full service Ag retailer in the south east part of Wisconsin for 3 years and have been employed by Cropping Central since the summer of 2015. I maintain a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) status. In my free time, I enjoy fishing, hunting, being outdoors, and spending time with my wife Sarah and young son Camden.

Chad Erickson

Owner, Agronomist, Agronomy Sales & Insurance Agent

I am the owner of Cropping Central LLC. I graduated from UW-River Falls in May 2000 with a BS in Ag Business and an Agronomy Minor. I was raised north east of Wausau on an 80-cow dairy operation. I worked 8 years at a local Ag retailer in agronomy sales and then started Cropping Central LLC in October 2008. I have sold Pioneer Seed since 2002 and crop insurance since 2007. I maintain a Certified Crop Advisor Status (CCA). I do cash crop some, growing corn and beans mostly, with an additional 5 acres of pumpkins that my family sells by the roadside. I have been very involved with Farm Bureau since 2000, serving as Marathon County Young Farmer Chair for 8 years, District 8 Young Farmer Chair on the State Board, served as Marathon County Farm Bureau Vice President and Director from 2008 to 2017. I am married to Kelly and have two kids, Ashley and Preston. In my free time I enjoy watching my kids sporting events, hunting and enjoying life. I love the people we work with every day in this great industry.

Diane Witzel

Dairy & Crop Insurance Agent

I joined the Cropping Central team in January 2019 because their dedication to agriculture and attitudes of hard work and authenticity are a perfect fit with my own expectations and experiences. Being raised on a dairy farm in the Auburndale area, I learned responsibility and accountability at a young age; understanding the value of doing it right the first time, being honest and keeping promises. I strive to be respected for integrity, commitment and exceptional service as I cultivate positive relationships in our agricultural communities.

As an insurance agent in Wisconsin for over 15 years, I am licensed to sell Multi-Peril Crop Insurance, Dairy Revenue Protection, Hail Insurance, Livestock Gross Margin and Whole Farm Revenue Protection. I am also a Public Notary, member of Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce Agribusiness Committee and served as secretary for the Auburndale FFA Alumni. I enjoy being involved with agriculture, visiting with farmers and volunteer (when time allows) to organizations such as FFA and Farm Bureau.

My husband and I have a son attending college in Milwaukee. While the farm will always be “home”, we currently reside in Marshfield and enjoy June dairy breakfasts, tractor pulls, deer hunting, car shows and any opportunity to spend time as a family (but I draw the line at picking rocks!).

Paul Krause

I am an Edgar native, where I grew up on a Registered Holstein Dairy farm. I graduated from Edgar High School and attended college at UW-River Falls, where I earned a BS degree in Broad Area Agriculture with a minor in Agronomy. I worked 13 years as an Agronomy Production Specialist for Cenex/Land O’ Lakes and 9 years as a Machinery Sales Consultant for a local John Deere dealership. I started with Cropping Central LLC in the fall of 2012. I also have been running a small cash grain farm since 1994. I am married to my wife Jodi and have three daughters: Andrea, Katelyn and Natalie. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, golfing, fishing and playing softball.

Joe Markgraf

Agronomist, Agronomy Sales & Insurance Agent

I grew up in Antigo WI on my family's potato farm. In high school, I was involved with FFA and then attended UW River Falls; graduating in December 2015 (1.5 years early) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy. I started with Cropping Central in May of 2015 as an intern and was hired full time in August to work out of the Antigo area. I specialize in early season corn, soybeans, sunflowers and food plot seed. In my free time, I'm usually hunting, fishing or working on construction projects.

Ryan Lynn

Agronomists, Agronomy Sales Agent

I grew up on a dairy farm in Unity, WI and attended Colby High School, graduating in 2015. After high school, I obtained my degree in Crops and Soil Science from the University of Wisconsin River Falls. Agronomy to me is not just a job but it’s a passion; I want to do everything that I can to help farmers achieve their goals. In my free time, I enjoy helping on my family’s farm, hunting and fishing. In the winter, you can find me riding my snowmobile.
